Hope your resistance line cord is good! If not you'll need to scare up a 7.4mf non polarized cap to drop the heater voltage.

What are the odds of that?  We used to find them N.I.B. and you could hear them crack as you tried to straighten them out  Icon_e_surprised
I think I have still have a few of them around some where. Got to preheat them to avoid the crackels.

8uf will work,,,,can,,, I ,,have a hall pass to the Shed,,,,I can help clean it out ,,,lololol,,,

Insteadi of finding a 7.4 non polarize cap you could use a 140 ohm resistor @20w or better, and 1N4007.
Terry, I heard that Diodes seem to fail a lot..Maybe that's not true.. Could you draw where in the circuit they should go?
