I have a Emerson,,,some of the same things,,,,,Out of the Blue,,,I decide to Ground the chassis to the cold water pipe,,,,and wow,,,it start picking up everything,,,, CHEERS
Well I'm happy to report the 38-5 is alive and well and singing as she should. Turns out it was the #42 cap. It was in the right place, but it didn't have a good ground connection. Once that was resoldered, it behaved again. I cannot thank Terry (Radioroslyn) enough for his help on this and so many other projects. He spent the good part of an evening on speaker phone with my dad and I trying to sort this out and the #42 cap was one of the first components he suggested checking. Terry's vast knowledge is equaled only to his vast patience. He is a true gentleman and we are so lucky to have him with us on the Phorum. Hat's off to you, my friend. Thanks again. Icon_clap
