[attachment=17018]I am a new collector and recently acquired a Philco 71H in Syracuse NY. From PhilcoRadio.com I believe it is the 1933 model since it appears to have inlaid veneer above the tuner. It is also has twin speakers and the 221 chassis. I have attached a pics, cabinet is in pretty good condition but the radio will require a complete electronic restoration. Thoughts and comments are invited.
Great looking 71.
They are not too hard to restore, short of possible RF coils rewind, which is not too bad either if required.
Of course if the power transformer is good, which is the case most times.
Congratulations!
Welcome to the Phorum!

OK, I am not going to elaborate Icon_lol even though there is more than one way to read this.

Where did the pictures go?  Can you re-post them?

Thanks,

I just recently found and restored this very same set. After a complete electronic rebuild it worked and sounded very good. I was pleased with the performance.

That is beautiful. That's good motivation to start on the one I picked up last summer.
Here are couple pictures of my Canadian made 71H.

That's a beautiful radio and a beautiful picture of it.

My tastes favor six legs with stretchers. It conveys to me a sense of sturdyness.
I have always liked the six leg sets as well and they seem to be few and far between around here. In 35 years of collecting this is only my second six leg set.

I'm also, not normally a leg man, but that 71H could change my mind.....
Beautiful radios, I love the six legs, just beautiful. Congrats!
