Hi all. I have a 71 cathedral that is beautiful but quite silent.  I can't seem to get it to oscillate at all. I have rewound the primary (small outer coil) on the oscillator coil but it still won't play.  This radio actually belongs to a customer of mine.  I have completely recapped it and checked all the resistors and tubes.  If someone can take a look he will pay you what ever it takes. Thanks.
So are you looking for troubleshooting help to fix it yourself or someone to fix it?
I really want to send the chassis and speaker to someone who can take a close look at it and find the problem.
Has the chassis been recapped and checked otherwise the way it's supposed to before power-up?
Yes. I checked it out. The amp works fine, just won't oscillate.

If you do not feel comfortable working on it yourself, then you should do the following:

1. Place an ad in the "Wanted Ads" section of the Phorum.
Go to the Phorum home page - scroll down - keep scrolling until you are close to the bottom of the page - you will see For Sale or Trade and Wanted Ads.

2. Use the Resources pages here in the Phroum to find a radio repairman near you.
Look under Philco Info > Philco Resources.

I see you are in Washington state. There are two radio clubs in your part of the country - Puget Sound Antique Radio Association and the newer Inland Empire Antique Radio Society. Contact one (or both) of these clubs and see if they can recommend someone close to you that can work on your radio for you.
