attachment=20675]i just wanted to show people my chelsea radio it is a regenerative with 3 knobs and one tube a c299.i don't see many of these around ,i have had this for 35 years and keep it in a curio cabinet.i have never tried to operate it.i bought it at a garage sale in homer illinois.
Congratulations ! That is a very cool set. I am surprised you have never tried it. Years ago I bought a Radiola Sr. also a regenerative one tube radio. I have made a 22 1/2 volt B battery for it, and bought a replica A battery for it, With a decent antenna and ground it is actually very sensitive and selective, and will pick up stations from hundreds of miles away.

The Chelsea is using a '99 adapter. That speaks to say it could use a WD-12, 200a, 201a..
Great replica batteries. Don't you just hate to use plastic covered modern wire for hookups... I certainly do, since Radiodaze is getting out of the parts biz there is little hope in finding battery harnesses and quality textile covered wire...
BTW, I need just one, maybe two of the Chelsea diagonally knurled battery nut for my Green Concert 2-step amp. It is a work in progress that could be helped by someone providing a picture of their amp.
