The 42-322 is the same set electrically as the 42-321 so perhaps the dial stringing is the same also. There are some pics and a hand drawn dial string diagram in my notes. I no longer own the set. (This was the first set I worked on so took a lot of notes.)

Bob,
I did look for closer models you suggested. I was not able to find it directly.
What I did do was go back to Sams radio cord stringing pdf file and started to just look through many
cord diagrams that were close to this radio model PHILCO 42-321. The position of the tuner wheel, the knob and the guide wheels.
I found one that is close. ( drawing #343) I strung it out and it works.
This pdf file should be helpful for others.
