Haven't done this for awhile, but wouldn't the proper place to install a 3.5mm auxiliary jack be at the the red "X"? It's a 37-670.

Patrick  I would try it there and just above C48.  I think C48 is part of the tone control. Even cutting in at the left side of C46. Using C46 as a coupling cap.
Aha! Then I wouldn't need to install another coupling cap on the jack! Looks cleaner.
