I am working on an earlier model 60 (pre wave trap).  I have replaced all the caps and a few our of spec resistors.  All the tubes test good (and I have also swapped tubes from a working 60).  The speaker, output transformer, and assoicated wiring is good (I also swapped a working speaker and related parts from a working 60.)  The set powers up, and with an antenna attached will receive stations along the entire dial, but the volume is a whisper.  The volume control works and will take the volume from 0 to a whisper.  The volume pot is good and I also swapped a working pot from another radio with the same results.  Touching the volume pot connections does not produce a buzz or hum.  I am at a loss.  I compared voltages to the working 60 and nothing iappears to be alamingly different.  Since it receivce stations does that mean the various transformer coils are ok?

Ideas?
Would check the grid wire on the 75 to see if there is a short where it goes thru the chassis. Low plate voltage on the 75  will cause it. If all the voltage are good I would recheck the wiring of the replaced parts. Are all of the blocks wired correctly inside and out? I've miswired the coupling caps before and had the same results. GL.
No short located on the 75 tube grid wire. Question regarding voltages. Should you use the chassis or the “K” pin on the tube? Would an open or compromised antenna transformer cause this issue?
