I have this radio which is labeled a 38-10. I can't find any picture that shows this radio as a 38-10. It looks just like a 38-9T so why would it be labeled a 38-10.
Just guessing here, based on shenanigans Philco is known to have pulled over the years...

Your radio may have been produced near the end of the 1938 season and/or perhaps Philco ran out of 38-10T cabinets, so they stuck some 38-10 chassis in 38-9T cabinets?

Philco is known to have done this with other models. But no one has reported a 38-9T/38-10T hybrid before to my knowledge.

Interesting.
