I have a 650X and puting a long wire on it is not practical due to location of the set. I'm considering a muffler type antenna for underneath. I'm going to roll my own. Size, turns, does it matter? I don't want another tuning cap to have to fiddle with, I'm not going for big gain, just broad band use.
I know someone out there has done this and can throw me a bone.
