I have a small table radio with electro-dynamic speaker. Due to oscillations and motorboating early in the repair process, the speaker was damaged. It shows no visual signs, just rattling. I notice if I put my finger lightly on the small of the cone, the rattling stops--leaving me to think there must be a way to repair this without reconing. I was thinking about dropping a smidgen of rubber cement in the center of the cone. That would be too permanent should it not work. I need some ideas from those experienced! Much appreciated!! Thx.
Hmmm. Before you try the rubber cement take a look at the speaker repair entries that were made by other collectors here in this web site. I have found them to be VERY helpful.
