I would like to add a second record player to the 46-1213 console to provide 33 1/3 RPM capability. I was thinking of the AT-LP60 which has an AT dual magnet cartridge, with a switchable preamp providing about 36 DB gain.

The current changer cartridge output feeds into the transformer, out of the transformer through an R/C network of 220K resistor and a .001 MF condenser parallel with a 4.7 meg resistor to ground into the grid of the 7AF7 phono amplifier/phase inverter.

Question: What do I need to do?
I would wire it up without the preamp as the original was set up the a mag cartridge. Both are low impedance so I think it should work out fine. If you can't get much audio level out of it then I'd add in the preamp.

Thanks Terry, I do appreciate it. I want to keep the console absolutely original, the cabinet looks as if came out of the factory today. Photos to follow. Icon_redface

Would I need an A/B switch or both connected in parallel? The 33 would get very little use, my calculus would be to place it upon a shelf above the console, not on the console itself.
You should put a switch between the two.
