Hello Friends.
I am restoring a Philco 60, and now i have other problem with this radio.
Now, i see that the potentiometer (number 29 in this schematic : http://www.philcoradio.com/tech/60evol.htm was bad.
The potentiometer have the value of 0.35M Ohm in the schematic, and mi potentiometer had more of 2MOhm.

In that case, i opened the potentiometer and cleaned the carbon of this potentiometer with "without lubricating contact cleaner". the little carbon was out, had a little film of carbon.

My question. How can i repair this potentiometer?

Thanks
Jose, if the carbon path is shot I don't know of any method for restoration or repair. You will have to get a new pot. Thats a 350K. I checked mouser.com and they have 250K then jump to 500K. PL
Replacements can be had here from Mark Oppat:
