I'm a newcomer to this list.

I've begun restoration starting with re-caping all but 3 that were not easily reached. Brought up power slowly with a variac and it lives! Volume seems a bit low but I'll get to that.

There is no glass dial scale. I found a good jpg of a scale on the web and laser printed it to transparecy paper. Cut a new plate from plexiglass rather than glass. Also have new white backing to attached to side clips. My question is simple. Can someone explain or send me a picture of what goes where. I'm primarily not sure where the glass goes. Also the gold exterior plate that covers everything has in addition to the 3 small screws 2 larger screws on end end of the plate. They are missing and I have no idea what they were for.

This is an historically interesting radio in that it came from Mr. Gimble's office of the famous Gimbles department store in downtown Phailadelphia.
Thanks for any help out there.
Rick
Or you could just buy one of these, really hard to beat for the price, and they are on glass.

I don't have a photo handy, but there are two metal brackets which mount on the chassis on either side of the dial glass, which hold the glass in place. It also uses two rubber gaskets, one on each side of the dial glass and which is designed to fit inside each bracket. Radio Daze carries replacement rubber for this, I think.
