Hello, this is Alex. I'm a new member here. I searched the Phorum for this question being asked but, found nothing so...here goes. I own a 41-221 that I was fortunate enough to have a full chassis restoration done approx. 7 yrs. ago by our Administrator. Naturally, it had no back and I recently thought I'd try to find a replacement. I ordered a repro from Retrotronics, but I don't know how the original was attached. I see no screw or brad holes on the rear of the cabinet so I'm guessing some type of clips were used. Any help?
Lol...guess no one else has one with a back either!
Take a look at some completed listings for this radio on eBay and you can see how the backs on those radios were attached. There are 3 or 4 listings that have ended. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the idea. I'll see what I can find.
Hi Alex, and welcome! Nice to see you on here.

VntgRads' suggestion is a good one. I do not own one of these sets, but the one I used to own did not have a back.
I looked at the 221 parts listing and both versions
of the 41-221 had backs listed in the cabinet parts section.

Maybe they were not very substantial and soon "disappeared" after a while?

Chuck
Thank you for the warm welcome and useful suggestions!
The radio museum site has a photo of a back of one. Looks like some screws hold it on.

Also one shown on the radio attic archives.
