Hey guys,
I picked up this neat console from a guy locally for $20 tonight. It's marked "Arlington" and is a Wells Gardner model A1-MB. There is a label in the cabinet from Shusters Dept. Stores with the name and address of the original owner and the date. Pretty cool! I always love finding out some of a sets history. Nice set at a price you can't refuse!

Neat looking set! Looks like they were trying to copy the Grunow Teledial. Icon_thumbup
Nice set!!

I too love getting some piece of information about a set's previous owner. When I bought my tube tester last year, there were some letters from the manufacturer to the owner of the tester, telling him about upgrades and such. The letters were dated 1951, seven years before I was even born.
Nice! I've usually found the Wells Gardner chassis to be good performers, that a great score for $20.
Very interesting set!!!!

It bears a very strong resemblance to my Truetone D-697, which utilizes a WG A2 chassis.
Very nice find! ... I really like teledials.
