Philco 54-6182-1 part number -

It's Kirk's. Dunno what the radio model is (small white clock radio).
Need the sch or at least the IF value.
When clock disconnected seems to receive but very whistly and howly.
Also the 12BE6 pentagrid is very weak.

Surfaced up here before.

It is a Philco 1955 white plastic 720. This color is the C-720, there is also a D-720...
I cannot find ANY info online. The only reason I know the model is from an original 1955 clock radio AD.
It is pictured int he 1955 section of the Philco gallery.

Kirk gave me two 12BE6 that are strong.
The radio clearly needs alignment.

Well, here's some. Although there are some mistakes there.
http://www.introni.it/pdf/Radio_diagrams_1955.pdf
I found some in DjVU format but cannot get back on that website - forgot what it was. The same manual though.
The 720 is said to have the same sch with
C580 or C716. While the PCB does look the same format-wise, it only has 4 tubes and ours has 5 tubes.
However C-722 sch does look similar, 5 tubes with the 12BE6 pentagrid and clock connection.
Could be it!

Now Fix it,
Everything I find on the web on 720 shows the wrong sch although with the same size/format PCB. It is a 5-tube radio and 720 is listed with the rest of 4-tubers.
Actually even in Sam's Photofact here
http://www.todocoleccion.net/radios-antiguas-catalogos/electronica-documentacion-tecnica-radio-reloj-philco-mod-c579-c579-c716-c718-c720~x31883793
OK, well, hopefully the sch is right of what I have found for C-722.
Not tonite though.

OK, you dummy.....
It is a Philco D730.

And this is the sch.

I converted it to PDF.
PS. And, yes, I was right before: the C-722 schematic is practically the same (minor differences) and the tube line-up is the same.

David
Thanks but it does not help. As you could see from this discussion the radio is either not 620 or the sch is not from 620: the radio I have is a 5-tuber and is likely a .730.
Yours is 4-tube radio.
Might you by chance have the 730 sch with good resolution? (I can live with what I got but resolution helps).

Anyway
Attempted alignment tonight. IF was a bit off. Cannot peak oscillator at 1620 kc.
Plus during the tuning the cap really makes grinding noises. Maybe I should clean the dang cap. Plus tubes' pins and sockets. It's a simple radio but it behaves strangely.
