Don't get all worked up.
As for rubber wiring, almost every time we here discuss chassis that use it most people here, and if my memory does not fail me, including Ron, keep saying what pain it is and how much more of a project one has if dealing with it.
I have no doubt you have a speedy effective way to dispatch with it.
Personally, I don't. And I'm not bad with soldering. In fact I am good at it. Better than most assembly techs I worked with. Except one Korean girl, but then she was a genius at it.
