Please do take additional detailed photos, and keep us informed on progress. It would be nice to know the tube line-up. Joe

The rolled up paper above the metal ID plate may have some info. Looking forward to more pictures. David

If you'd like to bone up on the 16's here's a good start. https://www.tuberadioland.com/philco16L_main.html

The tabletop sets (B's) and the consoles use the same chassis except for the power transformer, rectifier tube, and speaker. Console sets are larger. Something else that Philco employed in their 1933/34 sets was inter station noise suppression (aka qavc). That's what the switch on the right side of the cabinet turns off and on. There's a control shaft on the back of the chassis that sets the level.

I have one on the bench (the chassis done) in limbo as I need to finish up the cabinet. And a couple of others too. There are a plethora of folks here that are well versed in the workings of Philco sets. Drop by if you have any questions.

Here's a thread I started several yrs ago. https://philcoradio.com/phorum/showthread.php?tid=20055

Terry

I have never said it was 14 or 18; I merely pointed to the escutcheon as the one used in those, and then answered the escutcheon question.
Now that I see the chassis, I see it is a Philco, that is without doubt.

I suspect it could be 16 / 18 modification for a non-US market, due to the combination of the holes in the chassis, the speaker plug and the capacitive filter can.
In fact the label says 18T.
