You're right Ron, I hadn't.

The light adhesion tape I mentioned seeing on Lowe's website is Frog Tape. Thanks for the recommendation. Will definitely use it next time.

Yes, as I said earlier masking tape seems to work fine.

I take it off right away to avoid problems. Many tapes get a stronger bond after just a few hours. Sometimes I warm it lightly so it peels off easy.

The blue tape is the only tape I have had problems with, I think it's for latex paint and nothing else. Lacquer seems to go through the blue tape and react with the glue.
