Philco Philco Philco....

I think I sucked up too much toner today Icon_eek

RE: Philco 66 Restoration Chronicles - morzh - 08-08-2014

Now this is where the toner goes! A-ha!

Stop doing that! Beer is cheaper. And less toxic.

ICH HABE wie Funkgerate, Radios sind lustig, aber Radios sind teuer und ich hab kein Geld!
Ich bin ein traurig Panda.

Yeah, Warren. I think it's about time we got a translationIcon_wink

RE: Philco 66 Restoration Chronicles - morzh - 08-09-2014

I think this is an automated translator at work.

Basically it means, I have (how) two-way radio, radios are fun but expensive and I got no cash. I am one sad panda.

Toning day 2

RE: Philco 66 Restoration Chronicles - morzh - 08-09-2014

That looks nice!

RE: Philco 66 Restoration Chronicles - OldRestorer - 08-10-2014

Ok toning the rest today.

Tomorrow I will add some clear, then add the decal and clear the rest.

Then it is 2 weeks of curing before I can sand and sand and sand, then rottenstone and rub out the finish.

RE: Philco 66 Restoration Chronicles - morzh - 08-10-2014

mEnora, Sam, and yes it kinda does.

But to me it looks more like lyre

Which I think was the intent.

Like in Z Spinet

Finished adding the decal and cleared the cabinet this morning.

Now to wait 2 weeks to buff everything out.

RE: Philco 66 Restoration Chronicles - Ron Ramirez - 08-11-2014

Kirk, you ruined it...you used the wrong decal! Icon_thumbdown

You should have used DCL-PH8. This is the proper decal for all 1932-1936 and some early 1937 Philco cabinets.

RE: Philco 66 Restoration Chronicles - morzh - 08-11-2014

Yes I wanted to say...it is a smaller decal that should be used.

RE: Philco 66 Restoration Chronicles - OldRestorer - 08-11-2014

Well,

I looked online and those are the ones I see.

I guess I'll have to remove it. ugh!
