Morning all
I have a model 70 below sn# 22,000
http://www.nostalgiaair.org/Resources/833/M0013833.htm
I'm about to replace the by-pass caps in the block both are .015 all I have are X2 in that value or a Y2 in .022. It says to use Y2 for line to ground.
what is the difference between the two? Which should I use?
Eric

Well doing searches I came across this from Just Radios
http://www.justradios.com/safetytips.html
I will use the .02 Y2 it's about 50% higher but I think it will be fine unless I hear differently.

Any time you cross the isolation barrier like the transformer, connecting Mains to Gnd, you have to use Y.
