Philco 90 shield variations? -

Hello all,
I recently acquired a mid production model 90. Single ended 47 output. Anyhow, my question is....Where there production variations on how the shielding was done on the 90 chassis?
For instance on my chassis, the large 3 section shield is in place. One 27 tube near the back center of the chassis has the classic round Philco shield. However there is a plate separating the 27 and 80 near the transformer from the 47 and 27 near the mershon caps instead of another single circular shield (it looks as if the plate is original).
Thanks for your input!

Yes, there were. Earlier single 47 model 90s have two cylindrical shields; one over the 27 near the back center of the chassis, as you described; the other over one of the 27 tubes near the 47 and 80. Later versions of the single 47 chassis have the flat piece of metal in between the grouping of four tubes (27, 27, 47, 80) near the Mershons and the power transformer.
