610 and 37-60 pinstriping - Guest - 09-30-2008
Can anyone help with the location of pin striping for 37-60 tombstone and 610 tombstone? I have found all the "Philco" slide-on decals, but no luck with striping.

No vintage Philco cabinet used pinstriping originally.
Models 37-61 and 37-610 tombstones originally used a large decal on their front panels which is known as
photofinish. Until recent years, it was thought impossible to reproduce these finishes. However, Stewart Schooley has developed a method to reproduce a photofinish on any radio:

A while back a gentleman in the UK contacted me about how to restore the front panel finish on his 37-60. He decided to use veneer. That took care of the fake burl as well as the chipmunk stripe. It was his first project of the sort.
