Need help identifying this radio - Guest - 10-26-2008

Picked up this little guy today for 5 bucks. Replaced the frayed cord, powered it on and it plays great. Measures aprox 9" w 6" h and 5.5" d. There is no sticker or marking inside the radio.

My guess would be a Arkay kit radio from the late 40's.
