My Philco 89B AND the 19LZ (same chassis) are both Philcos from H**l! I am trying my damnedest to TRY and align the 89B. It seems that I need Service Bulletin number 120-C Adjusting Philco Superheterodynes to even START this procedure! CRAP! MORE H**l! Anyone know where I could get this manual?? I don't even know where to clip my sig-gen's leads. Jeeze am I lost!
The 19LZ has an open RF coil, but plays (quietly!) okay, no problemo. I think I'll stick to AA5s!

So Steve, does the fact that you are trying to align the 89 mean you were able to get it working?

Service Bulletin 146 for Models 89 & 19 is available here: http://audiophool.com/Philco.html it does have some alignment info on it.

That audiophool file is in DJVU format.  I try and find a free DJVU to PDF. Download starts....it's a friggin' REGISTRY program..delete delete MASTERDELETE. Try another link. try that one and BAM! Kaspersky says I just got INFECTED. spend 30 min. disinfecting. But I found one. I am SO far over my head I'm drowning. For me, this is a tall mountain to climb, but climb it, I WILL.  klondike98 that file should get me going, THANKS!!
