Philco Model 76 Chassis Restoration ? -
rmarc7828 - 02-19-2018
Hello All,
After replacing all of the capacitors and 2-dogbones, I have my 76 Chassis working and pretty loud. After a few seconds the distortion starts and dominates the output. Turn off and back on and it repeats.
I could have a bad tube and I will check that but I have one capacitor question. I do not have a value for Capacitor No. 13 on the schematic and layout diagram. The capacitor has a red shell and a tag that says Philco Part No. 3584B. In the absence of value I used a .25. Can any one provide the value for this cap.
One additional point is that on the layout Capacitor No. 15 is identified as No. 16 and vice versa. This was confusing because 16 is a twin capacitor and 15 is a single.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Rich

Thank you comrade!
I will replace my .25 with a .05 at the No: 13 position and see if this solves my problem.
Testing tubes is a bit harder for me but I will get them done.
