Dial String pulley - Jon Scaptura - 01-04-2006

I've got a problem with the dial string binding up on my 42-1010 due to warped and off-center pulleys. What is out there that makes a good replacement for these?

A junker chassis, perhaps? Just about any of the larger 1939-42 models, or even some of the postwar models, should yield some pulleys.

Looks like I'll have to keep my eyes out for a cheap junk chassis.
