This confuses me as I try to orient myself around the chassis. I see wires connected to some tube pins but the connections are not displayed in the schematic. Why?
For example, 5Y3 has three connections at #7, which I don't see in the schematic. Please excuse the simplicity of this question!

You will see this in almost every chassis. Unused pins on tube sockets are used as terminals for components in nearby circuitry. In the case of the full wave rectifier an unused pin may be used for the B+ output which has no direct connection to the tube but provides the terminal.
