Thanks, that was something else.  I was quite impressed with the size of the soldering irons and how quickly they made each connection.  I didn't know Philco made their own hardware down to the nuts and bolts.  Quite an impressive factory.

Great vid, viewing over and over. Seems back then you get to wear better threads the further up the chain of command you obtained. Bet their necks suffered from the tedium, especially the person doing the socket soldering - wonder the heath problems from that. So, according to the vid, 'Balanced' was what you can achieve from mass production, the best it can be.
