how to remove labels glued to the inside of a cabinet or chassis without damaging either? it's a model 60. the label on the chassis is paper. or maybe not? it has a shiny surface.

i'm sneaking in here. no-one replied to my recent inquiry about how to remove [and reuse] the paper labels glued to the inside of a cabinet. like decals, better to leave well enough alone?? does someone sell reprinted labels? does anyone know of a way to melt or dissolve the glue without damaging the cabinet?
thanks.

In my experience paper labels are not easy to remove unless they are already almost falling off. Our library has a number of labels you can download and print. I don't recall your model #.

Here's a photo of a 60 label, unfortunately I no longer have this radio so I can't get a better straight on shot of it. Try a wanted ad to see if someone else could get a good photo of theirs that could then be sized and printed.

i did find a picture of a chassis label on line. which i can resize and print. close, anyway.
FWIW, i decided to sacrifice one on a worthless chassis and tried heat, water, alcohol and lighter fluid. nada.

Ah...you meant the chassis label not the cabinet label.

I meant both/all the labels. How to remove them and where to find replacements if the originals can’t be saved.
I experimented with a chassis label because the chassis was bad. And I can’t even imagine a way to soften or dissolve the glue on a cabinet label without damaging the wood. setting a wet paper towel on a cabinet label is a bad idea. real bad. i know.

I would try soaking them in acetone, see if the glue will give out. Sometimes water will take them off but that's more risky.

i found and printed this label [which i can't seem to copy and include in this post] but wonder what to make of the bulls eyes surrounding the image.

Hello Fenbach,
I think those are used to help to print the right size !
