1. Type of wood I'm dealing with?
2. Color of lacquer to use? Highlights?
3. Proper grill cloth pattern?
4. Any decals?

Walnut veneer.

Medium Walnut, with either Extra Dark Walnut or black lacquer on the edge and bottom trim.

I think it should have the "Ribbed" pattern (#14 from Radio Grille Cloth Headquarters).
