Model 49-905 FM Antenna - reubanks1 - 05-07-2023

I have a model 49-905 code 121 and the antenna plug is missing that attached to the line cord (also missing but replaced with new).  Can anyone advise on how I can remake or buy another one?  Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the Phorum!

The 4th radio that I restored was a 49-905. Didn't really know what I was doing at that point but my solution which seems to pull in FM stations just fine is seen in the image below:

Not an elegant solution but functional. I still don't have an AM antenna on it.

Thanks I'll give that a try.

Well, tried it, and it didnt help much. Only a couple of stations with volume all the way up.  Oddly enough when I aligned it, it worked great with minimal volume.  Just wont pick up stations.  AM works great.

I'm not the best troubleshooter so hopefully one of the guys who is better will jump in. Any chance L403 is open? That would make the FM antenna useless I think.

Can anyone put a name, model, or manufacturer to that antenna connector? It is also used as the speaker connector in some radios, including one that I own, and I am trying to find a couple of them to make some new speaker cables for my Universal Shop Speaker and Dummy Field Coil.

Spare pins are seldom a problem for me. Finding complete antique speaker plugs is another matter.
