In fairness not a Philco case - forgive me, but probably a common issue for cathedrals and other radios with curves.
I think just wood glue throughout the break and then clamps to push everything back into place? Then some plastic wood to even everything out?
Or should i just cut everything out and replace with a new piece of wood?

So I would say get some wood glue or even Elmers and put some in under support piece and between the pieces of the broken support, clamp as best you can and that should get the best results. I have done some stuff by glue that I doubted would work, but it did. Paul

Given that part of the brace is broken across the grain it may not hold. Is that brace in that Pacific cabinet?

Yes the pacific cabinet.
Across the grain is a problem. I wonder if I drill
a hole or two and use wooden pins.
I think once the back is installed that should hold things stable and hide the repair.
I’ll also look at putting a support inside the cabinet. Should be invisible,

It looks like the brace is loose anyhow, it shouldn't be that hard to remove it, and use it for a pattern to make a new one, provided you have the tools, like a bandsaw, or a jigsaw, otherwise pinning it with a dowel might be worth a try. It looks like the original was pine, or poplar, so you could probably cut a new one out of a piece of 1''x4'', even out of a pallet/skid, a scrap of 5/8-3/4'' plywood would also work.
