Capacitor value for X1/Y2 bakelite replacement -

Hello Everyone,
I got side tracked on Philco 84 restoration and am now back on it. I removed the Bakelite condensers and am in the process of replacing the capacitors. The line filter ((3793 ODG) used 2-.015 uf capacitors. I was going to replace them with an X1/Y2 safety cap and was wondering if .01 uf would work because I have those on hand. If not is there any other valus that I could use.
Thanks,
Bob

Yes, 0.01mfd is correct. It's the most common value and it applies to every instance that we run into. And that's regardless of the original value.

Mentioned elsewhere, but these can be bought from Mouser for about 28 cents each including the new tariff fee (boo!!!) I bought a lifetime supply last week.
If you are cleaning out the block there are detailed instructions here. I use a $10 heat gun from Harbor Freight which seems to work fine
