Philco 46-1209 power transformer - fwmartin2000 - 09-30-2025

Greetings,  I have a 46-1209 radio that I am beginning to restore, I noticed a lot of waxy tar around the power transformer and the rectifier tube ,top and bottom. I decided to
test the transformer and found the primary to be open.  Is there anyone that might have a transformer part number 32-8248  from a parted out 46-1209?  In the meantime I
will be pulling the transformer to open it up and see what might have happened to it. It apparently got very hot.
Thanks,
                Fred Martin
Well, after pulling the transformer and opening it up. It is toast, burnt pretty crispy inside. I won't be able to salvage it, so my only hope is to find an exact replacement, or
set it aside as a junk. Out of all the dozens of radios I have restored, this is the first time I have had this happen.
