Philco 40-90 40-95 repair/restore issues - KB7GP - 10-04-2025
I have exhausted my searching for replacements including universal types.
Possibly someone hear has better research info and can provide me with enough information to rewind these transformers. Inductance, turns count, wire gauge (32), etc.
Repair was attempted on the osc xfmr without luck. I think the primary Plate feedback winding (?), is buried under the secondary the tuned oscillator winding which I believe is ok as I am reading sufficient resistance (6.7 ohms) and inductance (156 uH). My mystery is the primary winding, I don't have a clue. Possibly looking at the tube data for plate impedance and working backwards to estimate a possible inductance then turns. Anyone have ideas (or solutions) I can research?
