Resistance checks - bridkarl - 04-27-2026

A dumb question but... when it says resistance checks ...I assume I'm just measuring resistance between the pin and ground when the tube is in the socket.  I'm assuming this is just a way of checking tube health without a tester.
I've seen this but not been doing this.

This is from a Fairfield Morse 5A. Got it repaired and powered up today. Looks like transformer is OK. No audio but I am assuming a bad tube somewhere. The good news is I got some clicks from the speaker when I was testing voltages which implies the reconing job I did works.

The resistance is likely measuring the powered-down device with the tubes in socket (a tube in socket is usually a bunch of open circuits except the heater). Likely to GND, judging by GND showing 0 Ohm. The volts are for powered device.
