Philco 46-1209 (122) converter tube - fwmartin2000 - 05-27-2026

I just acquired a 46-1209 (122) radio and while pulling and cleaning the tubes I noticed that the 1st converter tube was not the listed  7F8 dual triode, There was a 7AF7 dual triode installed. I know that the 7AF7 will work as the converter  but the tube pins are wired differently, so I checked and found that the tube socket was wired for a 7AF7 tube by checking the filament pins. I am wondering if the different tubes used as the converter is the difference between the 121 and 122 chassis. I have not seen any schematics that show the 2 different chassis numbers and that particular  7AF7 converter tube. I'm going to treat it like it's the waay it should be wired, even though my schematic shows differently.  Just curious.
