How do I figure what antenna to use - w4rtc - 06-29-2011

Hi all
I have a Motorola tuner, Icon_surprised. The antenna is missing. Icon_sad I know it had a ferrite rod type of antenna Icon_confused. Now the question Icon_rolleyes to replace the ferrite rod how do I figure what uH I need Icon_confused:. Can anyone help me Icon_wink. Antique parts has three 230 uh, 250uH and 650 uH. HHHHHHHeeeeelllllppppp. Joe

The 230 or 250 should work. The winding can be slid along the rod to adjust the inductance as part of the alignment.
