Heathkit tube tester - Paul D - 12-08-2011

Hi guys-

I recently acquired a Heathkit model IT-17 tester. I have pretty much figured it out, but there is a switch on the left side that has one position for "leakage" and another for "short" it doesn't seem to have any effect when I test the tubes, and I can't find a manual online anywhere. Anyone have an idea what this switch is used for? The rest of the tester is pretty self explanatory.

Thanks!

Paul

Hi Paul,

Having the manual is pretty important for repairs and calibrating your unit. I found this link for bound reprints. I have no association with this site, just the first one I found.
