Thinning Shellac - squeeker7 - 01-11-2012

Although it states on the Kessler Shellac can "do not thin," has anyone thinned this shellac, say from a 3lb cut to a 1lb cut?? Thanks

You can thin with denatured alcohol. Plenty of information on the web.

Thanks, I bought a lb of dewaxed shellac flakes - I used this process in the past. I was just curious about the "do not thin" on the can. It was probably always there I just never read the back of the can Icon_smile
