No reason that I can think of. If it appeals to you, go for it!

If I only buy sets with good grill cloth and great original finish, my reasonably priced choices will plummet. Although one could argue that the same set with good grill cloth and finish at three times the price would be a better investment, but hey, it's only money, right?

That's what I keep telling myself...it's only money.
Admittedly, it's hard to buy sets with poor or non-original cloth these days since we can no longer obtain the good reproduction cloth. But, one can still do the electronic and cabinet restoration and get the set almost complete...better than it was when you bought it, anyway.
Another point to consider: The cloth for the 60MB tombstone was never reproduced. It was an odd-looking, splotched, spotty affair of gold and black.

So which 60 is this?

That's a
cathedral (rounded top), not a
tombstone (flat or mainly flat top). I have one just like that - it's the version of the 60B cathedral that came out in June 1934 for the 1935 season, but with the larger escutcheon and dial that came out a year later as an early 1936 model.

Now, that set used pattern #5 - which, along with all the rest of the repro cloth, is no longer available.
