40-95 Finish -

Can you tell me what kind of wood the 40-95 is made of and what kind of finish it has. Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply, but...the 40-95 would have walnut veneer and a medium walnut finish overall.
Assuming you mean the 40-95T table model, the bottom trim is very dark brown, nearly black. Van Dyke Brown toning lacquer from Mohawk would be a good color choice for this trim.
Beware! What appears to be veneer inlay running vertically and horizontally from the two knobs are
decals (photofinish)! Once the cabinet is stripped, those are gone forever. Stewart Schooley has a method of replicating photofinish; this is discussed
here.

Not that I know of. You can count on all of the smaller 1937 and 1938 Philco cathedrals and tombstones to have the photofinish on the entire front panel. Photofinishes are also used on some later models.
Alas, I have to work for a living, so that limits my time in compiling lists...
