Found this today for $5. Price had been dropping on this radio the past couple months and I figured it was good enough for $5. Only issues are the missing insert behind the knobs and someone putting a 12SQ7 where the 1A7 should be. It's a pure battery set from around 1939, no AC cord or hookup like most prewar portables. Might rig up a battery pack and get it going in the future. I don't think fabricating a replacement insert will be hard, plenty of donor materials from old suitcases to other portable radio cases to choose from. Cabinet even has the maker's tag on the back: US Trunk Company.
