Philco Chairside Using Howard's Restor-A-Finish - VntgRads - 05-16-2014

I had never tried Howard's Restor-A-Finish before today so thought I would show some before and after shots of my results. I recently picked up a Philco chairside with some damage to the finish on top. I bought some Howard's in walnut color and proceeded to first clean the top with GoJo (non-pumice) hand cleaner. Once that dried, I wiped that off and moved onto the Howard's using the directions on the can. I first applied it using some cloth but soon realized that the 0000 steel wool would probably work better since there were several white rings that needed to be removed. After thoroughly wiping it off, I am very pleased with the results. It is by no means perfect but a definite improvement. I am going to buy some Howard's Feed-N-Wax and apply that also to further enhance and protect the finish. My wife was threatening to "get rid of that ugly thing" so Howard's did buy me a little time. I am very pleased with the product and its ease of application.

Looks good. I tried some Feed-n-Wax for the first time last week after a Howard's treatment and was pretty impressed. I picked my bottle up at Home Depot if anyone wants to try some.
