Philco for 1931 (introduced Fall 1931)
Overview
Three models were added to the Philco lineup in the Fall of 1931. The early Model 50 Baby Grand sets used modified Model 70 cabinets; although soon after, the Model 50 received its own unique Baby Grand cabinet. A Model 50 lowboy and a grandfather clock with a Model 70 chassis also joined the Philco lineup.

Model 50 Baby Grand (Early version)
A few examples of these have surfaced in recent years. It is obviously a Model 70 Baby Grand cabinet that has been redrilled in the bottom to accept the Model 50 chassis, and with a new front panel drilled to fit the 50 chassis. While it was initially thought that these were "custom jobs" done by collectors years after the fact, enough of these have now been found to establish their originality.
