Model 14X

This new Inclined Sounding Board Philco featured a special repwood escutcheon depicting two musicians on either side of the dial opening. Overall, this is a very attractive console.

Original selling price: $125

Number made: 27,000 (Note: Figure includes Model 18X as well as January 1934 Model 16X, and June 1934 Models 18X, 49X, 118X & 144X)

Model 17LS

Model 17B was not selling well; thus, Model 17B chassis were coupled to 10-1/2 inch speakers and installed in this style of console cabinet. The chassis shelf on these models had to be made larger, so that it protruded about 1/2" from the rear, in order to hold the 17 chassis.

Tube layout decals on these models proclaim them to be "Model 17B" sets; however, the correct model number is 17LS.
