Thank Paul. No have not checked under it yet. I was really glad it has no rust on the top of chassis. HATE dealing with heavy rust and looks all original. I will update when I get it opened up.

Congratulations! You now have the best of the best Philco had to offer in a table model radio. 11 tubes, 10 watts push-pull class AB audio, AM, SW and long wave.

Thanks. I have been watching for one of these for awhile. I remember reading one of your posts about it being one of the best playing Philco table models and no separate RF chassis to deal with.

I guess I now know who won that auction.
Congratulations - looks like a great set.

I saw that auction too. Nice radios. I'll have to keep my eyes out for one of those.

Thanks Nathan and Steve. It was a lot more than I had hoped I would have to pay to get it but I had a feeling it would go pretty high. Lost out on this one last month.

Yeah - that 37-670 looked real nice. I was still surprised at the final price but that's a great radio too.

That is a fine looking radio. Will make a great restoration. Love those shouldered cabs. On the want list. Maybe some day. No room for anything right now.

Your going to love that 116b when your finished with it. I had found one a year or so ago but was in bad shape and I was determined to make it look new again and preform like it should , here it is and resides with a bunch of other philcos in my collection.

It's very, very nice. I hope my 37-665 turns out half as good eventually.

Been making progress on the chassis. Restuffed all the paper capacitors and E caps, had to replace some of the resistors that were too far out of tolerance. I went ahead and powered it up last night before installing the big dial scale just to see . I was able to pick up stations across the dial. So started on the final stages of getting every thing reassembled Just wanted to show where I'm at so far.
