Very nice work Kirk! Until 6 months ago there was a gentleman that would do my cabinets. He was very reasonable. He passed away in April. Now I am going to have to do this myself if I can't find someone else . I used to work in a furniture repair place when I was in high school. I learned a few things but 35 years put that a long way behind me.
Me and my big mouth
I could've saved myself a really torturous radio restoration which 54C are known for
Finally started pumicing and rotting the cabinets for the finishing touch...
I just finished the Utah speaker cabinet but I have 2 of them so I have to match the other one...
I actually need to make a back for one too....
Work Work Work Work Work!
Buff and Buff and Buff!
Glue and clamp, Strip and fill, WORK!..
I'm tired now, lol
Great job Kirk.
Sparton 65 and Kadette 87 done!
Just need to clean the knobs and find the gold ring for around the dial on the Kadette....
Not sure I am keeping the Kadette grill cloth though...
Probably not..
I tried restoring the Sparton 65 but it is dead still... Oh MIIIIKE!
I think I recognize the one from #26
Yup, That is one you did... And it is not working,
There is an disconnected wire that I dont know where it goes..
Shoddy workmanship.. Kids these days!
